Volume 1: A New Age

Part 1 - Miracle
A doctor successfully creates the mutant gene within a laboratory. Professor X fears that the research could fall into the wrong hands. Business leaders want to sell the product, politicians want to regulate it, the military wants to create super soldiers, and the single most important question goes unanswered; is it morally acceptable? The X-Men explore this question by examining themselves as they navigate a web of lies and mysteries surrounding the potential of this 'miracle.'


Part 2 - The Outsiders
Mutant-kind is now placed in the public eye for scrutiny, the X-Men are warned that their actions may provoke unintended consequences if they continue to operate in American territory. Cyclops and Marvel Girl clash with Storm and Rogue as to the future of the X-Men. Afraid that the X-Men's actions will be judged as terrorism, the leadership decides to gambit on a publicity stunt that would hopefully make the X-Men and mutants seem less like terrorists and more like people.


Part 3 - Shattering Force
The announcement of mutant Cain Marko's illegal 20 year imprisonment incites activists of all colors against the Government. The controversy draws the attention of the X-Men when The Brotherhood of Mutants takes up a stance opposing the imprisonment of Mutants, demanding the Government to release Cain Marko otherwise 'face dire consequences.' Professor Xavier is forced to reveal secrets of his past to the X-Men in preparation for an adversary far more extreme than the Brotherhood of Mutants.
