Rule for this Marvel Comics Role play
Admins: Charles Xavier and Rogue
Deputies:
-Mission Statement and Vision
We are here to have fun roleplaying, come join us!
Our MC universe doesn’t strictly follow any canon in particular so if you have questions in this regard, let us know! We play different interpretations of our characters and our roleplay allows us to scale up and down our characters' timeline.
RP Environment
[MCU]'s Environment.
DCU has three levels of interaction and they are categorized under the following
Grammar, spelling, and punctuation must be proficient or adequate. Admins will tell you if it is lacking.
(Be capable of structuring a sentence that is comprehensible, where one sentence corresponds to the next with appropriate punctuation for transitions.)
How to join [MCU]
-Performance Expectations.
Basic English grammar is a requirement. Most players prefer writing in 3rd person and past tense. 1st or 2nd person may be allowed on a case by case basis.
Also, player posts should add something new to the story or help drive it forward a little bit and not be merely echoes, in other words, posts that are a waste of time aren't acceptable.
Admins can help you understand or improve these if you need help!
-Activity Policy.
This affects only groups that choose to follow this system. The multiverse does not have an activity requirement.
Rule 1: An RP coordinator will set days to RP for the group players, the Player must post for at least 2 rounds during any group roleplay.
Rule 2: Player posts must contribute to the development of the story and/or the relationship of the characters.
Rule 3: We understand Real Life happens and is more important than your hobby just notify the RP coordinator that you won't be able to attend. Please understand that if you have consecutive absences Group RPs and we NEED your character, we'll remove you from the RP group due to inactivity. This will place your character into the Multiverse (We won't kick you out of [MCU] just remove you from the RP group.)
Rule 4: Players get a 3 strike system before they're removed from the group. This is more of a guideline than a rule, if you RP following the rules of DCU's literacy requirement you should have no problems.
-Sexual Consent And Harassment Policy.
Sexual harassment is not tolerated in [DCU]. Sex is not our focus here but we do allow it, just not in the room or forums for everyone to see, keep it private!
We do not consider anything sexual harassment UNTIL the harassed player clearly rejects and the offending player continues to pressure the issue. If you do not say NO it is not sexual harassment; you are consenting to the Roleplay and the other player's actions.
-Combat.
Godmode and metagaming are unacceptable.
Your character can TRY to do something to another, but it is up to the other player to allow it or not. That said, we trust that any and all players in the roleplay are responsible enough to know when their character is pushing their limits in the story or capabilities. Combat format is Free-form T1, if you have questions about this contact any admin!
-Death.
Basically your character cannot kill another without the other player’s consent.
About the Admins
Prep for culture shock, we're Admins who respect freedom of speech! -Gasp!-
With that said, malicious behavior is unacceptable. You can criticize and express your disagreements, but your freedom of speech ends the moment any player aggressively (or passive aggressively) bullies or belittle's another, everyone has their own sense of 'being bullied' so having a 2nd hand source available to confirm is never a bad thing. Admins are not afraid to throw the gauntlet down under these circumstances, but we're also not here to be White Knights and deal with every petty issue players have.
-Admins & Players.
1. If an admin asks you to stop (They rarely do) then stop. If you're curious why, you may PM them and ask.
2. If you refuse to stop, you will be given 3 warnings before they will take action.
Action 1: Kicked - Kicked from the room for a short period of time. You can come back in after being kicked. Realize the admin has to type /ban yournamehere and /unban yournamehere so expect a lag time.
Action 2: Suspended / time out - Removed from the room for a designated time period. 5 Minutes to a maximum of 4 weeks.
Action 3: Banned - Consider this a "Go to Jail" monopoly card. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. It is rare that someone is removed from our banlist, however; its not impossible. Misunderstandings happen and if you're wrongfully banned you can discuss the issue with an Admin. If you're a decent or well minded player, you shouldn't have to worry about this because it will likely never be an issue with you. If you're looking for drama then heads are gonna roll.
-No Troll Policy.
Trolling is unacceptable and will be banned-on-sight. We gather information across RPC and with the glimpse of a troll from another room, we will ban them from our room in order to support RPC's policy against trolling.

RP Environment
[MCU]'s Environment.
DCU has three levels of interaction and they are categorized under the following
Cosplay RP | Loosely Roleplaying as your character while discussing topics of an "out of character" nature. If someone is confusing you with how they are acting, state with OOC bubbles "(No offense, I'm just fooling around as my character.)" - Cosplay RP is not an excuse to be an asshole. |
OOC Chat | Is defined as player to player interaction without character personality attached. If a player is using brackets or distinguish they are out of character, this is how we recognize and accept it. |
Roleplaying | Qualified as portraying your character in a serious manner that progresses a story or a characters development; If the players allow any random person to join the conversation than it's purely up to the players involved whether they want the RP to be canon or not. |
